This is a beautifully eery expanse near Nazlini, Arizona on the vast Navajo Reservation. This land is unique compared to any and has such dark yet surprisingly colorful personality. The only signs of human existence here are a dirt road and a few empty beer bottles. There are more animal footprints than there are human. The amount of petrified wood is unlimited. This land is a testament to the existence of some solitude still surviving in America, and perfectly preserved simplicity from history.

Absolutely stunning! I have a friend who is a registered Navajo; this would be something he would love.

i have always had respect for them, the way the live with nature, not on it nor putting it aside is something that is to be quite admired, and it seems as if time has not passed through there, amazing to say the least.

You are very right. Many live oblivious too and it's sad. All we need is right here on the earth, yet we search and search for the next best thing.

at some point when everything is created and nothing new can be made, we shall only find that the old have prevailed, for in their time they fixed things, they did not throw them away
